EPS Electric Power Steering Controller
What decides the steering feel of an NEV
Overview
Developed for the packaging and driving-dynamics requirements of new energy vehicles, our EPS controller is based on AUTOSAR and follows an ISO 26262 ASIL-D process, supporting active return, damping compensation, road-feel simulation and fault degradation.
It fits C-EPS, P-EPS and R-EPS layouts and drives brushed or brushless assist motors with multiple torque/angle sensor interfaces.
Key Functions
Road-feel simulation
Assist curves calibrated against speed, angle and torque deliver consistent, tunable steering feel.
Active return
Speed- and angle-dependent return compensation improves high-speed stability and low-speed agility.
Damping compensation
Suppresses wheel flutter and road-noise transfer for better NVH.
Fault degradation
On sensor or drive fault it switches to a safe assist mode with warning, keeping the vehicle controllable.
ASIL-D functional safety
Lockstep dual-core monitoring, independent watchdog and redundant sampling channels.
Vehicle-level coordination
Interfaces with ESP and ADAS over CAN FD to support L2 functions such as lane-keeping assist.

Why It Wins
Tunable steering feel
Open calibration of assist curve, return and damping for model-specific differentiation.
Safe by design
ASIL-D redundancy: faults are detected, degraded and traceable.
Localized cost advantage
Domestic core components give a clear cost and lead-time edge over imported solutions.
Fast integration
Calibration toolchain and on-site support shorten OEM matching time.
